At City Church Boise we seek to live loved by God and love others as He first loved us. One of the practical ways we do this is through our foster care serve team. There is a huge need for followers of Christ to come alongside these kids and their foster families. City Church’s foster care serve team comes alongside the foster care community in the following ways:
- Partnering with Boise Angels to care for foster families by bringing monthly Love Boxes and consistently praying for, showing up, and developing relationships with foster kids and their foster families;
- Partnering with Royal Family Kids Camp, a Christian camp for kids in foster care from ages 7-11. Volunteers from City Church serve for one week at camp as a “buddies” to the kids there, and City Church has the amazing opportunity to provide gifts for the camp-wide “birthday party.”
- Serving families within City Church who are fostering kids by bringing meals, providing respite care, offering tangible goods when needed, and most importantly, covering the families with prayer and community;
- Actively praying for foster families and the foster care system in our community, and seeking to encourage and come alongside Idaho Department of Health and Welfare workers whenever possible.
We are so thankful to partner with a church body that values and acts upon Christ’s call to love others. At City Church Boise, we believe we grow in Christ and fulfill His mission by equipping and encouraging each other to invest our gifts, talents, and treasure toward this end. Our foster care serve team is excited to partner with you as we serve foster kids and foster families in the Treasure Valley!
