A Chance to Love Refugees in Boise

Come and enjoy an international picnic at Winstead Park, in Boise, Saturday, May 10, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Our goal is to connect with the refugee community in Boise and love them toward Jesus. Come and meet these beautiful people and learn  ways to meet their very real, and make them feel welcome in a foreign land. We are expecting over one hundred refugees to attend the picnic. Most of them have been in the U.S. less than a year.

[churchpack_superquote]There will be ethnic food from Ethiopia, Iraq, Congo and Burma.[/churchpack_superquote]Bring your own special dish to share. Games and a bounce house will be provieded for kids so bring the whole family.

Portraits will be taken of refugee families who want one and it will be framed and delivered in the weeks following the event. Opportunities to play soccer or frisbee with older kids will also be available.

There are lots of ways to be involved from being a greeter, to helping with games, setting up, helping with the portraits, food and information booth, or just show up enjoy good food, and make new friends.
